Can you share the background of the company?
Marine Creation was incorporated in October 2011 and started with chemical tanker business, for the oil and gas sector. This company was pioneered by our current advisor which was responsible in building the company’s reputation and trust with our partners.

We are the contract holder of Petronas Chemical’s ‘Contract of Affreighment’, through our Consortium of ShipOwners since 2013 which carries methanol products to Asian countries such as China, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.

We then diversify and seize the opportunity to venture into offshore support business in 2018 and currently own several fast crew boats through our subsidiaries for crew transportation services. We have been supporting end users such as Petronas Carigali, ExxonMobil as well as Hibiscus Petroleum.

Currently, Marine Creation has 17 dedicated manpower who strive towards the Company’s vision in becoming the leading and preferred logistics and shipping service provider in the region.

“As part of our commitment to a greener environment, we have embarked on ESG initiatives such as reducing carbon footprint and using environmentally friendly materials and resources in our business activities.’’

What are the main challenges in this business?
The oil and gas sector is experiencing positive performance, however hedging against the market volatility is a challenge for us to ensure business consistency. In the shipping industry, where high cost and risks are inevitable, it is crucial that the team is always prepared in terms of its risk and safety management as well as its strategic planning.

Running an off-shore business requires strict compliance and high levels of integrity and trust among team members. Therefore, we prioritize staff training and competency to maintain zero accidents and incidents during offshore operations.

As part of our commitment to a greener environment, we have embarked on ESG initiatives such as reducing carbon footprint and using environmentally friendly materials and resources in our business activities.

In summary, while navigating through the competitive oil and gas sector, Marine Creation is actively addressing challenges related to market rate fluctuations, high costs and risks, and the transition to greener resources, all with the overarching goal of ensuring sustainable and responsible business practices.
